PFW: Balmain Fall 2012

I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to see a notable designer continue to out due his last collection with something so extravagant as this. Balmain show was during Paris Fashion week and had the house full with known fashion heads that sat to the edge of their seats dazzled by the shows outcome. Oliver Rousteing was the head designer for the Fall 2012 collection and as the fourth model approached the runway, people automatically knew that they were in for a fashion treat. The off-white crewneck tucked in a slightly slung velvet pants was the first piece that brought my attention. The embroidered Fabergé egg-style in thousands of pearls and crystal embellishments can guarantee couture at it’s best with a comfort and ease feel at the same time. As the collection continues to come out one by one, I was in awe with the leather turtle necks/ bottom-ups, the pattern detailed velvet pants. Although I’m a bit late with the publishing, I can honestly say that this collection was the best in my opinion from the Paris Fashion Week line up.
